However, as terracotta is an organic medium, slight nuances in texture and hue may occur during the firing process. This ensures that every KLAV Collection piece you receive is an original work of art. Because each piece is hand-shaped and hand-painted by our artisans, no two items are exactly alike. While your jewelry will closely match the colors and patterns shown, these subtle variations are the signature of a truly handcrafted piece, making your selection one-of-a-kind.

The base for every jewelry is high quality, naturally occurring terracotta clay. Depending on the design, the finished product may contain: Stones and crystals Acrylic paint Waterproof varnish Jewelry glue Metal clasps & hooks Synthetic rope (necklace fastener)

Yes, we accept pre-orders for any custom color & design requirements. Terracotta is a very versatile material, and designs similar to metal jewelry can be customized. Please email us to discuss your customization needs. Each custom piece is lovingly hand crafted, and therefore will have a 6 week lead time from payment to delivery.

For a flat fee of $5.00 per order, we offer 5-7 day shipping through USPS or UPS. Expedited shipping requests can be accommodated for a flat fee of $12.00 per order.

No Returns/Refunds/Exchanges Refunds, returns, or exchanges will be accepted only if jewelry is damaged during shipping. An unedited, uncut, start-to-finish package opening video is required to request a refund.

Store in a hard case/box and do not keep heavy items on top. Do not expose to rain, water, chemicals, and perfumes. Wipe lightly with cotton cloth after each use before storing. Handle with care - do not drop on a hard surface. Purchase the optional Jewelry Care Package at $5.00.

Each order can be shipped with an optional care package for $5.00. The care package includes: 1 soft cloth to wipe jewelry after use 1 small tube of jewelry super glue 2 extra pairs of earring back stoppers 2 pairs of earring back stems 1 extra back rope used to tighten necklaces (if order includes a necklace) If the earring stem falls off, please stick the earring back stems provided in the care package using the super glue provided.

Natural terracotta is an inert, mineral-based material and is widely regarded as hypoallergenic. We use high-quality earthen clay specifically because it is gentle on the skin. Terracotta is composed of natural minerals (silica, alumina, and iron oxide) that do not typically trigger the immune system. Chemical-Free Base: Unlike plastics or synthetic resins, natural terracotta clay does not contain the phthalates or petroleum-based irritants that often cause contact dermatitis. Most jewelry allergies are actually Nickel allergies. Earring hooks or back stoppers may contain nickel, potentially causing skin breakouts for customers with extreme skin sensitivity, even if the terracotta pendant is perfectly safe. However, since everyone's skin chemistry is different, and because our finished jewelry includes paints, minimal metal clasps, stones, and water based varnish, we recommend that those with extreme skin sensitivities try a patch test by wearing the jewelry for a short period first.
